Heart Sweater DIY

So, I am VERY new to the blogging world and don't quite have the hang of it yet. However, I thought I would go ahead and give it a shot and post a DIY. I have been lusting after some of the heart sweaters shown below, but I don't exactly have an extra $90-$350 to spare on a sweater. So I decided to create my own...
Heart Sweaters
I grabbed an old Club Room sweater I've had from the guys section at a Macy's sale several years ago [similar] Grabbed some [wool] (1/4 of a yard to be exact) and with a coupon it came out to be around $2.50 (score). The original idea was to sew with the stitches exposed on the outside of the heart but I opted out and went with this glue I already had. I folded my fabric in half, quickly free-handed half of a heart against the crease, cut it out, applied the glue liberally (planning on lots of wear in the fall), centered on the sweater, and left a heavy box of stationary sitting on it for 30 minutes. Disclaimer: I am currently camera-less at the moment so this is an awful mirror/iPhone pic....however, it will have to do for now. The finished product....

I must say for $2.50 I am overly satisfied and cannot wait to throw this with some leggings/skinny jeans and my favorite boots. Please excuse my blogs current state I'm working on getting it just right. Hope you enjoyed this post :)
